the locomotive looks good. I can't tell whats going on in the background. This is HO scale? Looks larger. Was there details added to the locomotive, or is this out of the box?

Hi shaun to answer you questions, there is nothing going on in the background. I do not have a layout just yet so I just took some wood put up a back painted it blue added some white for clouds and made the wires, fence out of what I could find in the garage. Then I just loosely put down some ballast for the photo. It is HO, had very bad lighting to take picture had to get close, and yes it is out of the box. Being new to the hobby this is one of my only good locomotives at this time, and I just can’t get myself to jump in and weather it yet. I am practicing on some less costly ones for now.
