Unlike the BN "paint peeler" hopper, this box car is based on a real car where the new paint was washing away. Underneath this CONRAIL box car, was the original PENN CENTRAL paint. This first attempt for me (MrKLUKE car#119) had mixed results. I had an Athearn ACF Railbox painted for PC. I then added brown paint and then assaulted it with various chemicals. The last step was to add CONRAIL decals along with some weathering. Believe it or not, the real car's white graphics were similar to this model. Although the brown paint was washing away, the white graphics remained crisp and clear. A strange car!

Ohhh, if only it had an "NYC" patch on it. Wink Another 10 for MrKluke.
